The Department of Physics of the Faculty of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) is committed to providing a high quality education for its students as well as to developing a productive research and work environment for its staff. The Department of Physics has established and implements a specific quality policy, which is fully linked to the legal and regulatory framework governing the operation of NKUA and is in accordance with the "Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area" of the Helsinki declaration on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQUA 2009). The attainment of these goals is monitored by internal departmental commitees such as the Internal Evaluation Team (OMEA) that culminates periodic reporting of the findings to the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of NKUA.
