POSTGRADUATE STUDIES IN PHYSICS

The postgraduate programs of the Department of Physics were established by the Law No2748 (Official Government Gazette,, SecondPart,14 October 2014).They include studies leading to Master’s and Doctoral Degree( Ph.D.).

The program of Postgraduate Studies offers Postgraduate MSc Degree of Specialization in two directions: (A) Basic and (B) Applied Physics.

A)The programs of Basic Physics refer to the following three specializations (corresponding to three of the sections of the Department):

1) Materials Physics

2) Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics

3) Astrophysics - Astronomy – Mechanics

B) The program of Applied Physics refers to the following specialization (corresponding to one section of the Department).

4) Environmental Physics 

In addition, the program of Postgraduate Studies offers a unified PhD Degree in Physics.
